LEAP at Sale Ranch

A Compassionate Alternative to FHA and 4H Programs

What Is LEAP?

LEAP (Leaders for Ethics, Animals, and the Planet) was created as a compassionate alternative that was Inspired by former 4H and FFA students who wished to complete their programs without sending their beloved animals to slaughter. This initiative has since evolved into a nationwide educational movement in which Sale Ranch is proud to participate.

LEAP is a humane education program for high school students, providing a compassionate and empathetic alternative. This comprehensive four-year program is taught by Sale Ranch and other participating animal sanctuaries nationwide.

LEAP combines interactive curriculum modules with hands-on learning activities, leadership training, and real-world skill development. It aims to prepare the next generation of changemakers to address issues like animal cruelty, climate change, food deserts, and habitat loss. LEAP encourages students to devise solutions for a more compassionate, sustainable food system.
