🎃 Pumpkins With Purpose: How a Community Turned Waste Into Warm Bellies

Posted on November 16, 2025

Thousands of pumpkins.
Hundreds of kind hearts.
One beautiful ripple of compassion.

This year’s Pumpkin Drive, in partnership with @TemeculaMama, turned ordinary porch décor into extraordinary nourishment. Together, we collected and delivered thousands of pounds of pumpkins to farm sanctuaries and private rescue homes across Southern California, feeding pigs, goats, cows, and more.

The Power of Simple Kindness

Each pumpkin saved from the landfill became a small act of love.
A pig’s favorite treat.
A goat’s crunchy delight.
A cow’s peaceful, happy snack.

These moments may seem small, but together they tell a powerful story:
When a community chooses compassion, waste becomes wonder.

More Than a Pumpkin Drive

This wasn’t just about pumpkins—it was about purpose.

Those that donated helped:

  • Feed rescued farm animals nutritious enrichment.

  • Reduce landfill waste and its harmful emissions.

  • Build a network of compassion that extended far beyond our fences.

It’s proof that kindness doesn’t end when the decorations come down.

Keep the Kindness Rolling

While this year’s drive has wrapped up, it’s not too late to make an impact.

If you still have uncarved and unpainted pumpkins that are in good condition, contact your local farm sanctuaries or rescue homes. They’ll gladly turn your leftovers into happy bellies and grateful hearts.

Because when compassion leads the way, even a leftover pumpkin can change a life.

To Everyone Who Gave

You didn’t just donate pumpkins—you fed joy, hope, and healing.
From all of us at Sale Ranch, thank you for turning your pumpkins into purpose.
