On Tuesday, March 12th, we took an exciting step towards a brighter future for Cherry Blossom, our cherished pig resident, by beginning the installation of her new mini barn within her very own small pasture. Overflowing with gratitude, we’re thankful for the donations from our community of supporters and incredibly touched by a substantial contribution from one exceptionally generous supporter, which propelled us to complete this heartfelt project even quicker.

Setting Up Cherry Blossom’s New Home

The installation of her new barn is just the start. We’re committed to making her space safe and cozy with necessary safety retrofits. It’s all about creating a haven where Cherry Blossom can flourish.

The Need for Cherry Blossom’s Personal Space

In an unforeseen turn, Cherry Blossom experienced a rare altercation with Weston, her companion of four harmonious years. Given the unexpected nature of this incident and its deviation from their peaceful coexistence, we made the thoughtful decision to provide Cherry Blossom and Weston with individual spaces. This choice prioritizes their safety and well-being, ensuring both can thrive under our care. As we prepare her new, personal haven, Cherry Blossom has been recuperating in our medical barn, surrounded by the warmth and attention she deserves.

Rekindling Old Friendships

In her new home, Cherry Blossom won’t be alone. She’ll be near old pals Faith, Love, and Hope, reconnecting with her past in a safe and nurturing environment. It’s a testament to our adaptability and dedication to the happiness and security of our sanctuary residents.
