  • Turkeys are bred to grow incredibly fast and endure so much suffering in their short lives. Many suffer heart attacks as well as legs and feet issues as they struggle to hold their body weight.
  • Turkeys enjoy affection and when cuddled will purr when they are happy.
  • Turkeys often have their beaks and toes removed without sedation soon after hatching.
  • Turkeys are slaughtered at just 10 to 14 weeks of age.
